Almost Friday!

Things were going along swimmingly until lunch lol.  It was just sort of an aggravating afternoon.  'Nuff said about that.

So the storm claims keep on rolling in with apparently no end in sight.  The NJ Manager, being ever so intelligent, actually asked upper management if we would somehow "stop taking new claims" in order to get caught up.  Um, really?  I suppose he didn't stop to think how completely ridiculous that statement was. And he's in charge.  lol

Two temporary kind of people are starting tomorrow in our office so I will have to share my space - someone will be using CC's old desk.  Kind of a bummer, really, but good for everyone else to get some relief.

And now, a big thank you to Peter for mentioning the beach on Thanksgiving Day thing!  Turkey Day is two weeks from today!  It's been oddly chilly here ever since Sandy blew through.  We are talking possible frost tonight - which is rather uncommon for Florida in any month but really uncommon for this early in November.   Makes me think this winter will be like 2009 when it was cold here.

But in honor of the beach thoughts, had to post a beach pic.  :-)

  1. Been thinking about that lately myself. It's going to be interesting - I'm supposed to host T-day this year, with no heat. Hopefully cooking all day will help - lol.

  2. Jeez...now you are going to post beach pics....lol such a tease you are! If I could just look out my window every morning to that....life would be grand! I think sitting listening to the ocean is so relaxing! And to think you will be on Thanksgiving... :)
Hope your temps are worth their salt today and things get moving! Ah heck just send everyone a check for settlements...they will get done quicker! lol
    Well have a great day!
    Hugs, Peter

    1. Ya know, as much as I'd love to see the beach every day, then it wouldn't be special anymore. Or something like that. It was in the low 70's and sunny today. A pretty day but a bit cooler than it should be this time of year

  3. I remember going to Daytona in 2010, there was ice on the orange trees (that was a first for me in Florida) and it pretty much was cold and damp for the 2 weeks I was there. I hope it won't be the same this year, it'll be a little brisk on the beach T-Day

    Hope your day got better

    1. Yup, the winter of 2009-2010, remember it well. It was cold here - truly cold. Most people up north laugh at people in FL until they come here in the winter and we have a cold snap. :-)
